Dr. Thompson, MD, graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, in 1999 and completed a research fellowship and general surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, N.C., and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
He is Board certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery. Before relocating to Lincoln, Nebraska, he practiced in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
He has published many manuscripts and abstracts and has presented at numerous national and international meetings. Dr. Thompson also is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Chest Physicians.
